Congratulations Mr and Mrs Stewart

It was a wonderful day for an outdoor wedding reception.  Hot (but not too hot) and sunny with enough of a breeze to keep the mosquitoes away.  A crowd of happy folk and large amounts of food.  Three flavors of cake.  Who could ask for more.  Truly, a grand time was had by all.

Then the wedding cake, the top tier was a white vanilla cake with nutella buttercream filling, the second tier was a carrot cake with cream cheese filling.  The whole was covered in a white chocolate buttercream and decorated with gumpaste flowers and lettering.

Then there was the groom's cake which was the groom's absolute favorite black forest cake, and which we managed to make a complete surprise (which is not that difficult when only two people know about it).  Darkest chocolate cake, fresh whipped cream, cherries and just a bit boozy, what's not to love about it?

Did I mention that a good time was had by all?

Welcome to the world

A baby shower cake.  Vanilla cake, vanilla meringue buttercream and marshmallow fondant all dressed up in pink to celebrate a whole new person's arrival to the world.

Happy Mother's Day

A tall mocha cappuchino cake, filled and frosted with nutella whipped meringue frosting, accented with Aero bubbles and mini candy coated chocolate chips.  A lovely end to Mother's Day dinner.  Thank you Bekki for barbecuing the burgers, and to all our guests we were so happy you could join us.

A cherry chip cake with cherry flavored buttercream accented with gum paste and black ribbon.

Bonne fete Madame Verrier

A lovely lemon cake with a whipped meringe frosting flavored with lemon for a lovely lady.

Spring blossom Easter egg

A mochachino cake filled and frosted with mocha whipped frosting and covered in fondant with molded fondant accents.  A perfect finish to Easter dinner, and of course everyone saved room for cake.

Happy Birthday Gaetan

The island is a carrot cake with lemon whipped frosting covered in vanilla fondant and accented in lemon whipped frosting and oreo and graham crumbs.  The lighthouse is fondant and the light is a battery operated mini candle.  The water and waves are fondant, piping gel and frosting.  A surprise birthday cake for my port through all of life's storms.

A Toonie for Your Service

A dark chocolate cake filled with white chocolate ganache and covered with rolled fondant.  Thank you ladies, you know who you are.

Black and White

A lucious chocolate cake filled with coffee meringue buttercream and covered with lightly marbled grey fondant.  Decorations are a blend of vanilla flavored candy clay and gumpaste accented with sugar pearls.
